International Day of Persons with Disabilities


CHESHIRE HOMES Chandigarh is commemorating International Day of Persons with Disabilities on 2nd December 2012 at 341, Sector 21A, Chandigarh, from 10am till 2pm.

Nearly 250 physically challenged persons are expected to participate, and a Medical Camp is being organised with doctors from different specialities participating in it.

A team of specialists for on-the-spot assessment and issuance of disability certificate would be available to provide these certificates to those who quality.

Similarly, Travel Concession Passes would be issued during the camp to those having the certificate.

The Cheshire Homes Chandigarh also intend to provide artificial limbs or rehabilitation support to 20-25 persons.

These activities are being conducted with the help of Rotary Clubs of Chandigarh, Chandigarh Midtown, and Innerwheel Clubs along with the Association of Disabled persons.

Dr. Raj Bahadur, Director Principal, Govt Hospital and Medical College, Sector 16, Chandigarh, would be the guest of honor.
