Cheshire Homes Chandigarh will be observing the World Disabled Day tomorrow, December 1, at Sector 21, Chandigarh.On this occasion four guests of honour would be present to interact with physically challenged, Dr. S.S. Gill, Vice Chancellor, Baba Farid Medical University; Dr. Raj Bahadur, Head of Orthpaedic Department, PGIMER; Mr. Rajesh Jogpal, Director Social Welfare, UT, Chandigarh; and Mr. j.K. Gupta, General Manager, Punjab National Bank.
The event is being supported by Inner Wheel Club and Rotary Club of Chandigarh Midtown, Association of Physically Handicapped Persons of Chandigarh and Punjab.
On this day besides distributing mobility appliances to the deserving, a team of 10 to 12 doctors would be conducting the medical camp for about 200 persons who are expected to attend the event tomorrow.
Rail concessional passes will also be distributed to those who have qualified the basic criteria.
Lunch arrangement for the entire team as well as the physically challenged persons have been made, according to Gurdip S. Deep, chairman of Cheshire Homes Chandigarh.
